Sweet Home Medical Center is the only facility in Western New York that offers abortion alternatives in a private office setting. The office is located in a modern, suburban setting designed with the patient's needs in mind. The Center offers free parking as well as on-site security.

Our experienced nurses, counselors and office staff are trained in the latest medical information. They are happy to focus on meeting your needs and are ready to address any questions or concerns you may have.

YOUR VISIT
Your visit may last from 1 to 3 hours, average stay for a first trimester appointment is usually 2 hours. A trained counselor will thoroughly explain the procedure, after care instructions and birth control methods. During the 1-to-1 session you may discuss your personal feelings, if you so choose.

PROCEDURES
We offer several options for termination of pregnancy including medical (pill), surgical (vacuum aspiration), as well as second trimester (D&C) options. Our goal is to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible. The choice of local anesthetic as well as quick-acting, safe sedation is an option for the patient.

Your visit will include any necessary blood tests, sonogram, an examination, termination procedure and after care. A post-abortion visit is available at no charge.

THE PROCEDURES INCLUDE:
- A Medical procedure (pill) is an option for pregnant women up to 7 weeks gestation, and may require 3 monitoring visits.

- A Vacuum Aspiration procedure is a 1-day in office procedure for pregnant women between 6 and 12 weeks gestation (first trimester). After a short recovery time patients may return to most normal activities.

- A second trimester abortion may require 2 consecutive office visits, either in the same day or two days in a row.

When making an appointment you should be prepared to provide the following information:
- The date of the first day of your normal period.
- A brief medical history.
- Your insurance Id number.

FEES
The doctor's fee is payable in cash, money order or credit card (Master Card and Visa accepted.) We do not accept personal checks, thank you. The fee for the first trimester (6-12 weeks) is $425.00; the fee for a second trimester (over 12 weeks) abortion vary accordingly. Most insurance plans are accepted. Please have your insurance card available when scheduling your appointment.
